What you ll do
Partners with management to build our workforce of tomorrow while meeting the business needs of today. Anticipates staffing needs, builds candidate pipelines, and facilitates timely placements.
Collaborates with hiring managers to develop creative solution designs, review progress, calibrate tactics, and debrief to get better.
Sources (through prospecting, networking, and cold calling), qualifies (through screens, assessments, and interviews), and presents qualified candidates to management.
Works with Recruiting Coordinator to generate, maintain, and place job postings and controls the Company s applicant tracking system to best manage and maintain applicant information.
Creates attention-grabbing and persuasive advertisements with a keen understanding of the targeted audience, seeks appropriate advertising venues, and grows recruiting networks.
Interfaces with the community relative to employment brand positioning and recruiting. Builds relationships, serves as liaison/point-of-contact relative to talent acquisition and employment. Attends, coordinates participation, and bridges connections between management and community sources (i.e., high schools, trade schools, industry groups, colleges, diversity groups, and other external organizations).
Teams with Marketing and Branding department to develop marketing-recruiting capacity and engage passive and active candidates through social media.
Explores, understands, and recommends recruiting technologies to most effectively recruit and engage candidates, streamline processes, manage data, and stay compliant.
Identifies creative talent acquisition solutions, sources, and techniques. Understands how we compare in how we recruit and how best to lead the pack.
Supports hiring managers in drafting and proofreading offer letters.
Maintains the ColonialWebb s new employee on-boarding program.
Other talent acquisition and talent management activities.
What we re looking for
Experience, Education, and Certifications:
Recruiting experience. Someone who has done it, understands it, enjoys it, and is hungry for their role to expand beyond the typical recruiting role. We are happy to consider candidates with less, but some experience, plus exceptional knowledge, skills, abilities, and attributes (as described below).
Sales and marketing experience is helpful.
Bachelor s degree is preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated skill, experience, and proficiency with technology to include Microsoft Office, Internet researching, and social media. KSA of candidate sourcing, data mining, and applicant-tracking systems is preferred.
Strong writing skills: Ability to proofread, edit and write at a high level. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning, usage, and spelling of words, rules of composition (grammar, formatting, punctuation, tone/context), able to write clearly and persuasively and adapt toward different audiences.
Strong judgment skills: Able to analyze, assess, apply logic, conclude the value and quality of people, situations/risk, and potential outcomes, and then make decisions.
Skillful listener with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of the talent acquisition process, recruitment methodologies/techniques, and the local and regional area job market.
General knowledge of EEO/OFCCP compliance, labor laws and other employment laws.
Ability to source for hard-to-find positions through creative and nontraditional methods.
Presentation/public speaking skills.
Excellent attention to detail, administrative, planning/preparation, and organizational skills.
Ability to handle a dynamic, evolving, and fast-paced workload, with the ability to timely coordinate and perform concurrent (and disciplinarily diverse) activities and projects.
Ability to comfortably interact with all levels of candidates and team members, including executive management.

Schedule and Travel
Work location: ColonialWebb corporate office, Richmond, VA. Located at 2820 Ackley Avenue in Henrico s West End.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand.
Occasional travel to career fairs, networking events, offsite meetings, regional offices, and jobsites, mostly during the workday (rare overnight travel). Must possess a valid driver s license and able to safely travel throughout our region.
