INTRODUCTORY STATEMENT: The Office of the Attorney General, Department of Legal Affairs (OAG) is a pre-eminent, constitutional office, which serves as the chief lawyer to all state agencies and provides legal protections for Floridians against fraud and through the enforcement of the state’s laws. The OAG, is a cabinet agency in the executive branch of Florida state government.

OAG employees are paid biweekly. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
Three years of secretarial or clerical work experience;
or possession of a Certified Professional Secretary Certificate.
College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience.
Vocational/technical training in an area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required work experience.
A high school diploma or its equivalent can substitute for one year of the required work experience.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess legal secretarial experience, good computer skills, and good verbal and writing skills.
JOB SUMMARY: This position is in the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
80 % Plans, initiates and completes clerical, secretarial and administrative duties; which include typing copying, filing and scanning.
10 % Answers telephones, including “Must Answer” line, screens, greets, announces and routes visitors.
5 % Schedules meetings, conferences and receives/ processes incoming mail. Facilitates and coordinates state travel for selected management officials.
5 % Other duties as assigned
