Full Job Description
Based in Northern Virginia, Aveshka has opportunities for you to become part of our high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key federal clients. This opportunity is to join an agile development team that is using .Net technologies to ensure quality is delivered with each release. In this role, the test will need to leverage both manual and automated testing skills to implement a testing framework that is high quality and repeatable with each execution. A strong understanding of testing processes is required, to deliver a balanced approach to both manual and automated testing. The candidate should continuously look for efficiencies across their assigned work to continuously improve overall quality metrics. Candidate should identify training needs, common incidents and trends to drive overall efficiency. The role entails gathering metrics from test outcomes and providing data to the test lead. This position will be located within the National Capital Region (NCR).
Manages the testing environment and provides laboratory management.
Ensures technology testing is in both a physical and virtual laboratory, for a variety of operating system platforms, software, applications, and network infrastructure in a secure environment.
Performs functional, system, and integration testing on applications to ensure quality for each code release
Collaborates with other agency partners for user acceptance testing, vulnerability scans, and stress and load testing.
Ensures all applications maintain interoperability with other third-party solutions.
Meeting regularly with test lead to review outstanding tickets and plans for resolution.
Meeting regularly with the test lead and scrum master to convey status, trends, issues and risks.
Building an understanding of the supported systems and programs.
Referencing knowledge management databases/tools to understand business process, common issues and workarounds.
Review and validation of detailed test plans in alignment with project testing strategy.
Monitor progress to meet milestones and estimates.
Provide regular reports on progress to inform the test readiness review.
Identify and implement improvements to the test activities and process.
4+ years of testing experience or 2 years’ experience with a Bachelors’ degree.
Communicating clearly and effectively.
Collaborating easily with others.
Experience with an IT systems test team.
Experience with automated test tools (Selenium preferred).
Experience in defect management.
Understanding of Agile processes.
