BE MORE has developed the industry-leading training system that creates measurable shifts in bias, particularly unconscious racial and gender bias, among health professionals and business leaders. Our groundbreaking methodology – which combines leading neuroscience and social science with proven mindfulness tools – has been featured on the The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Open School, Dan Harris’s 10% Happier Podcast, and is a subject of a TED talk. Our three product lines include online training programs, in-person training programs, and keynote addresses. We are currently developing a mobile app to train health providers and business professionals in proven tools to measurably reduce unconscious racial and gender bias. To date, BE MORE has reached more than 100,000 professionals through our programs. We now want to scale our impact through mobile and online learning to shift perceptions, policies, and culture across our priority industries.

About Your Job:

The Social Media Coordinator is a critical member of the team who will support our external brand through BE MORE’s social media presence. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is highly creative yet organized, enjoys creating written and visual content, and loves all things social media. Specifically, you will:

  • Have the opportunity to hone your writing and creative skills to create original written and visual content for social mediathat highlights the values and work of BE MORE.
  • Design and manage the social media calendar and schedule posts across a variety of social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Regularly engage with our audienceon social platforms through live stories, messages, comments, retweets, likes etc.
  • Work alongside all members of the BE MORE team including the CEO to generate and execute fun and innovative ideasto elevate our brand awareness via social media.
  • Track progress towards our goalsand submit regular reports about reach, engagement and growth metrics.

About You:

Are you a junior or senior undergraduate student that’s looking to gain experience in a fast-paced and innovative startup environment? Are you excited about applying your skills for a social purpose to enhance diversity, inclusion and equity? We are looking for someone to join our team of passionate individuals to build this world with us.

You also:

  • Are a social media wiz with a natural talent for building a strong social media presence.
  • Enjoy staying up to date on current news and media trends, especially within social media, marketing and news related to gender and racial equity.
  • Have experience managing multiple social media accounts, either personally or for an organization. Experience using a third-party scheduling platform such as Hootsuite a plus but not required.
  • Have strong writing and communication skills, creativity and attention to detail.
  • Have experience using some form of creative software, or simply a willingness to learn! (Canva, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Have a keen sense of discretion when dealing with sensitive data. You perform gracefully in all situations, ask questions when you don’t have answers, and thrive in an environment of flux.
  • Have excitement to combine a passion for building a successful entrepreneurial venture from the ground up, with a deep purpose to make the world a better place.

About the Process:

This is a part-time paid employment opportunity (10-15 hours) based in our offices in Manhattan, New York.
