Responsibilities:
-Assists in all aspects of the property’s maintenance including grounds, custodial, preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance.
-Works indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
-Constant need to be on feet, climb stairs, push, pull, climb ladders, lift, and carry materials and equipment of varying weights.
-Understand the structural integrity of buildings.
-Use tools and machines safely and correctly.
-Frequent need to utilize personal transportation to pick up supplies from vendors.
-Responsible for obtaining fair housing certification.
-Regular and prompt attendance is required.
-Maintain the required property uniform ensuring a professional appearance.
-Shares 24-hour emergency call duties with the maintenance team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Maintenance experience or related preferred
-HVAC certification
-Electrical and plumbing experience
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
-Ability to effectively communicate with residents, team members, and prospects.
-Ability to think logically and follow standardized procedures
-Good organizational skills
-Neat appearance
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to work with various tools and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Basic electrical knowledge for troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with employees or residents.
