Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for an Inventory Allocation Specialist in our Columbus, OH, location. We are looking for a hardworking, and customer focused individual who is willing to learn and grow with Kimball Midwest.

This position will be responsible for managing orders submitted for inventory review prior to sending to our system, making the decision to back order, ship from another DC or cancel the item ordered based on company policy and customer setup. This position will also be responsible for performing other various duties that are assigned by the Administrative Services Manager and Assistant Manager.
This position requires one to three years general warehouse experience, preferably in a distribution industry or related field
This position requires a high school diploma, or equivalent. A college degree is preferred.
This position requires proficiency within Microsoft applications; AX, Excel, Word, Outlook.
This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to follow and understand written and oral instructions.
This position requires the ability to communicate with management, co-workers, sales representatives and other Kimball Midwest staff in written and verbal from.
This position requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires excellent organizational skills.
This position requires a person who is dependable (i.e. reports to work daily, barring any unforeseen circumstances).
This position requires a person who has exceptional reasoning and decision-making skills.
This position requires the successful completion of a ninety-(90) day orientation period.
The hours are 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday
