The Sales Development Representative helps generate and facilitate sales for the United States Gold Bureau. In this role, you will make outbound calls to current and potential clients who have expressed interest in learning more about gold and silver. The Sales Development Representative qualifies prospective customers through targeted questioning to identify core needs regarding the protection of their financial portfolio. The role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prospect and call inbound leads
  • Arrange appointments for our Inside Sales Team
  • Stay organized by tracking activity in our CRM
  • One on one sales interactions with customers
  • Promotional sales and marketing
  • Developing sales skills and enhance sales skills
  • Creating a positive buying experience
  • Learn all the skills necessary to be promoted to a closing role in under twelve months

What you will be doing:

  • Generate leads through target account selling, outbound prospecting, and calling on leads from multiple sources
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop interest to stimulate opportunity
  • Action activity levels of between 100-200 calls per day
  • Schedule demos for sales team with qualified leads
  • Track and input all activity in a CRM system
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on product, industry changes, and competitive landscape
  • Follow up on a high volume of new leads in a timely manner

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1+ years of lead generation or sales development in a sales organization
  • An interest in building or accelerating your sales career. We promote from within!
  • Proven initiative and a competitive drive
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resilience, perseverance, and an ability to overcome objections

What you will need:

  • 2+ year(s) of experience in high volume outbound calling experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Hunter mentality in seeking out new business
  • Strong email and web search skills
  • Desire to establish a career in sales

Knowledge of Netsuite or other CRM system is a plus
