BOOST provides outsourced and consulting services to government contracting clients in five primary service areas – accounting, contracts, HR, recruiting. and strategic pricing, We are searching for a part-time bookkeeper with experience working with government contractors.
Previous experience working with government contractors is required. This is a part-time, 20/hour per week position (with opportunity to grow into a full-time position) and virtual. Must have experience with DCAA accounting best practices and some of the following accounting systems: Unanet, Quickbooks, JAMIS, Deltek.
Assist BOOST clients with the following tasks:
Accounts payable, accounts receivable
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, LOC, etc.
Monitor and reconcile credit cards
Process expense reports/enter receipts
Process and reconcile payroll
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process for clients
Monthly accrual transactions
Experience working in government contracting
Experience working in Unanet is preferred, experience in Quickbooks is preferred
Experience in the following timekeeping programs: SpringAhead, T-Sheets, BigTime, etc.
Proven bookkeeping experience
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Understanding and experience with monthly labor, revenue, PTO, and expense accrual
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting and financial records
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work with multiple clients at same time
Ability to provide quality customer service to our clients
