POSITION SUMMARY: THE SENIOR DESIGNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPING, MANAGING, AND RECORDING TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THE PROJECT. THEY WORK CLOSELY WITH THE PROJECT MANAGERS, MEP PROJECT COORDINATOR AND DESIGNERS ON CONCEPTUAL DESIGNS, PRESENTATIONS, DESIGN DEVELOPMENT, AND PRODUCTION. SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNERS MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROJECT DELIVERABLE, MEETING OVERALL PROJECT DESIGN SCHEDULES, AS WELL AS PREPARING AND PRESENTING DESIGN PRESENTATIONS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meeting budgetary goals set forth by the Director Of Architecture & Design
  • Maintain Designer schedule at all times
  • Approve any PTO requests of Designer
  • Work closely with the MEP Project Coordinator on their projects
  • Giving performance evaluations to Designer assigned to them
  • Create and present interior design concepts in response to client needs
  • Maintaining the design schedule and timeline
  • Staying on top of the project and communicating with the proper parties
  • Updating clients weekly
  • Determine the client’s goals and requirements of the project
  • Create a timeline for the project and estimate project material costs
  • Providing floor plans as needed for Consultants or Director Of Architecture & Design
  • Providing any design work necessary for marketing and sales
  • Interviewing and meeting with clients
  • Explaining designs to and meeting with Project Managers when necessary
  • Making site visits prior to design and during construction as needed
  • Meeting and communicating with Architects and Engineers as needed
  • Meeting clients onsite and being available to them as needed
  • Promoting and selling design ideas to clients
  • Coordinating and working with dental equipment specialists, cabinet makers, and IT companies
  • Attending company trade shows and promote company as needed
  • Must know everything going on in his/her project at all times
  • Print plans for PM
  • Participate in selection of furniture systems and specifications
  • Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification, writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
  • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
  • Must present self in professional manner at all times
