Job Overview:
A successful candidate must be able to:
- Perform numerous and varied duties which include packaging materials, filling 5 and 55 gallon containers, drums, pails; palletizing; securing skids for transport. Required to visually inspect articles for proper specifications (code dates, quality of boxes) and notify the Supervisor when those specifications are not met.
- May be required to package materials, attach label, or carton and identification of package or container. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. May be assigned other duties when necessary.
- Ability to keep records of skid counts.
- Operate filler, lid press, and other positions on brush lines and have knowledge of coder.
- Operate valve inserter, crimper, marble drop, paint tank hook up, check weight and fill of paint and acetone on aerosol lines.
- Operate packer and tipper, monitor accumulation table and water bath.
- Operate depalletizer can lines and change filters.
- Stack finished cases on skid and identify skids of product contents.
- Perform other duties as required on brush and aerosol lines.
- Must be able to follow other directives given by Supervisor.
Requires prolonged standing (85%) with occasional walking (10%) and sitting (5%). Exposure to raw materials and other chemicals due to the products manufactured. Requires personal protective equipment (i.e. flame-retardant clothing, safety glasses, goggles, safety shoes and gloves).
· Must have the ability to see, read, and distinguish letters and/or symbols
· Must have the ability to follow standard operating procedures for testing
· Must have the ability to perform job duties in accordance with established safety rules
