Assist Landmen in the acquisition, maintenance and divestment of oil and gas assets;
Understand and process oil and gas lease acquisition packets;
Prepare and process payment requests for leases, damages and other considerations;
Prepare and maintain lease/contract/well/ownership reports;
Locate / research / summarize various oil and gas agreement provisions;
Calculate working and net revenue ownerships for leases/wells;
Steward internal and external inquiries;
Prepare oil and gas related agreements, exhibits, plats and correspondence consistent with business needs and practices;
Work with others to ensure all acquired assets are properly mapped;
Work with Land Administration personnel to ensure proper set up and retention of agreements;
Work with Divison Order personnel to ensure proper set up of well/facility ownerships;
Enter / attach data into various software applications Energy Navigator; SharePoint;
Maintain and comply with electronic group file structure;
Build appropriate hard copy files as directed;
Some travel may be required
High School diploma, college degree preferred
7-10 years of prior experience preferred
Possess a mastery knowledge of oil and gas industry terms, associated agreements and their purpose (i.e., Oil and Gas Lease, assignments, farmout, Joint Operating Agreement, Unit Designation, Curative Documents, Title Opinions, AFE’s, working and net revenue interests, royalty, overriding royalty interest, right of ways, damage agreements, bonus drafts) and general oil and gas industry terms
Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite applications
Understand premise and functionality of agreement retention software
Be/become proficient in using Sharepoint 2010, Quorum Land System, AFE Navigator, Documentum, Web Base GIS Mapping applications and SAP
Enjoy assisting and mentoring others
Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
