Position Overview: The Washington Capitals marketing intern will be responsible for assisting in all day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department, with the primary focus on fan development and youth hockey. This is a paid internship.
Assist the Marketing team with daily activities, events, and projects.
Assist with the planning and execution of all events related to Capitals marketing initiatives including Scarlet Caps, Kids Club, Alumni Association, and Amateur Hockey.
Content creation for fan development monthly newsletters.
Develop content for the Kids Club, Scarlet Caps, Alumni Association, and Amateur Hockey website including event recaps and photo galleries as well as track impressions and media.
Maintain Capitals equipment sales and auction inventory including set-up and execution of auction at all Capitals home games.
Help oversee and organize rink partnerships and amateur hockey events.
Assist in the management of Kids Club fulfillment and database.
Help maintain content on fan development social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram).
Other duties as assigned.
Must be an undergraduate or graduate student.
Dedicated, outgoing, hard-working, punctual, and a dependable great teammate.

Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong writing ability and focus on social platforms.
General knowledge of and interest in professional sports.
Organized ice hockey experience is not required, but preferred.
