The Content Strategist develops strategic content, with primary responsibility for the success of the content marketing and brand components supporting Corporate Marketing for our global events. The Content Strategist collaborates across multiple teams to ensure integration with our corporate strategy and messaging of our global events and that the content strategy contributes to achievement of stated objectives.
Project Management: Identifies key deliverables and ensures they are met
Develops, executes, and provides oversight and counsel for strategic programs and initiatives
Ensures all content promotion activities are coordinated across channels including social promotion and email
Maintains positive and collaborative relationships across teams
Demonstrates understanding of Marketo brand and overarching communication goals
Partners with creative design team to develop new content at all points of audience engagement
Stewards, authors and develops content that successfully advances event goals
Develops concepts for content that can be leveraged across a variety of channels
Required Skills/ Experience:
Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail
Must adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, able to change approach or method to best fit the situation, and able to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events
Ability to work cross-functionally with other team members
Must be able to think creatively, outside of the box, and a strong project manager
Proficient in working with Microsoft Office suite and PowerPoint. Some experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop a plus
Possess ability to communicate brand messaging through content, a design sensibility to envision how content will be presented
Should be flexible with change and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional writing skills
Strong project management skills including the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
High attention to detail
Demonstrated skill at writing and editing
Poise and professionalism in working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Ability to articulate a creative vision, push for better and bolder ways of thinking and elevate the tone and quality of content.
Graphic design experience helpful but not required.
Ability to organize own work and perform independently while closely and appropriately coordinating with team members.
Full time; travel will be included
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years of experience producing interesting, original, high-quality content that tells the story of a brand.
