General Summary of Duties:
Under the supervision of the Manager Front Desk/Registration, this position schedules appointments for patients, provides reception services, answers phones, accurately and comprehensively collect and verifies demographic and financial information from patients and/or their representatives in a sensitive and timely manner. Verifies patient insurance coverage with Third Party Payors and determines eligibility by utilizing appropriate technology.
The Financial Registration Clerk will research and obtain all the necessary information which will include calling customer service and insurance companies: inputting the data into various systems and assists in coordination of the flow of patients through front desk registration and into the clinical area. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Strive for the goal of achieving a positive experience for the patient. Contributes to the team work within and between departments.
