Provide financial and business partnership for the ~$2.1B Global Pharmaceuticals business by leading strategic decision support initiatives and overseeing the planning/reporting activities. This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with the Global business and functional leads including Global marketing, Regional Finance, and the Project Management Office within R&D
What You'll Be Doing:
Key interface with project managers and the leadership team of Pharma Research & Development (R&D)
Summarizes monthly quarterly & annual R&D results, creates R&D forecast plan & LRP
Leading monthly presentation with 20+ business partners for Pharma R&D
Coordinating $80M+ budgeting for yearly AOP and in year forecasting
Facilitates quarterly Pipeline Presentations presented to President of Pharma and C-Suite executives
Work cross functionally with 15+ business partners
Ad hoc Reporting Tasks: Financial Modeling opportunities surrounding key initiative projects (ex: Capacity Analysis, Long Range Molecule Pipeline Strategy (Launches, Delays, Cancellations), AMD warning letter Impact, BD Reporting)
Manage project spend in conjunction with PM and Plant Finance (Domestically & Globally)
Execute month end close processes, including accruals evaluation, Intercompany cross charge entries, reporting and developing variance analysis of actuals vs. targets
Drives Intercompany approval for expense cross charge entries
Submit Month End Accounting Entries
Key contributor with strong working knowledge of Baxter systems and how to input and analyze within these systems
Subject matter expert in new reporting system (Alteryx)
Perform ad hoc analysis for various financial initiatives
Develop deep understanding of global product markets, strategies, and risks and opportunities for Pharma
What You Have:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent)
Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications and typically 4 + years of relevant experience with financial planning and reporting.
Self-starter with strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, often cross-functionally.
Working knowledge of PC applications (ie. Excel/Access/Alteryx).
Strong analytical skills with familiarity with accounting, financial analysis and reporting.
Ability to manage tasks concurrently· Owns career and is accountable for managing own development.
