As a Retail Warehouse Inventory Specialist, you're an expert at moving products from the warehouse to the salesfloor by receiving shipments and organizing products for replenishment. Where We Are
Our store is in the heart of Weston at: 657 Main Street, Weston, VT. This job is performed entirely in-person.
Major Responsibilities:
- Communicate inventory issues to Department Supervisor and/or Assistant Coordinators
- Process inventory transfers in POS system
- Put away candy order and any in store receiving orders
- Report to Supervisor with photos any issues with restock (including ticketing issues)
- Hang Clothing, put away food and any other back stock that stays in the warehouse,
- Manage/process restock to the floor - Set up red bins and inventory process for the floor to put out for each department (3 on the floor at a time) – including leading & directing restock support staff
- Ensure rotation of dates on all product’s from warehouse to the floor
- Keep the warehouse organized at all times including all supplies, fixtures and product – including having the warehouse set to receive any additional product the following day
- Order, receive, and put away all packaging and office supplies, ensuring proper levels and keeping these organized
- Use Excel to manage inventory levels and track reporting
- Organize the walk-in with rotation of product.
- Perform routine audits of inventory in the warehouse
- Perform special projects or duties as assigned by Department Supervisor, Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
- Support other areas of the company if needed
- Participate in weekly cycle counting
- Receive in inventory from the DC into POS and notify supervisor of any discrepancies
Education/Experience We are Looking For:
- High School Diploma and some College
- Facilitate and encourage good communication with co-workers and across departments
- Exhibit a spirit of teamwork in effectively carrying out responsibility.
- Possesses an attitude that the “customer comes first” & is consistent with The Vermont Country Store Customer Bill of Rights
- Dependability and flexibility required, as well as a positive and professional approach to customers and the business.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer functionality and e-mail, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
