The first thing a Southerner will ask when somebody walks into the house is, “Are y’all thirsty? Y’all hungry?” Now, probably it has something to do with how dirt poor many parts of the South were at one point or another in history. Offering their guests a meal was a Southerner’s way of sharing as much as they could even if they didn’t have much in the bank. Putting out a big, ample spread is a point of pride for every Southern hostess: that’s her way of letting her guests know they’ll be taken care of, and they don’t need to hold back. That’s why our meals tend to be served family style, with bowls on the table full of corn, slaw, fried okra, sweet potatoes, beans, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions.

Paula Deen's Family Kitchen is looking for fantastic Retail Supervisors to help them develop their team!

Your main role will be maximizing the customer’s retail experience through the development and daily management of competitive seasonal plans across all store segments.


Develops seasonal plans at retail that deliver the following targets: retail strategy, sales and profit, item strategy and inventory control, merchandise placement and execution, promotional plan
Manages in-store activity to meet plan targets, specifically fixture and display objectives, promotional execution, and theme and product tests
Develops, plans, and executes major launches via public relations and/or event plan
Plans and executes the inventory strategy and sales presentations for new launches; directs the training and selling requirements
Supervises product delivery including but not limited to unloading, stocking, checking merchandise quality, and verifying, reviewing, and approving invoices
Monitors and investigates inventory discrepancies
Monitors visual presentation of merchandise
Reports on the status of merchandising efforts in an accurate and timely manner; analyzes data and directs changes to improve success of merchandising plans
Provides communication and training materials as needed on all features, benefits, and merchandising concepts of products
Works collaboratively with Paula Deen Ventures, LLC retail management, store managers, marketing team, and other departments/staff to ensure the success of merchandising programs and plans
Develops merchandise sources; solicit bids and quotations; evaluates vendor reliability
Coordinates purchasing details with vendors including but not limited to pricing revisions, order cancellations, discontinued items, acceptable substitutes, back orders, delivery date revisions, and invoice discrepancies and payments
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Directly supervises employees within the department(s)
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Responsibilities include interviewing, assisting in hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

New Employee Incentive

In order to provide an incentive for our new employees to become part of “Team Paula” we are implementing the following for all hourly positions:

New Employees can earn up to $150 as follows:
The employee receives $25 for completing 30 days
The employee receives an additional $25 for completing 60 days
The employee receives an additional $50 for completing 90 days
The employee receives an additional $50 for completing 120 days
