Position Summary

The role of the Director,Strategic Services Group is to develop the SSG Project Management Office (PMO). The position is responsible for creating and leading projects across the Strategic Services Group and ensuring flawless delivery (on time, within scope and within cost). The Director,Strategic Services Group will also be responsible for overseeing a network of resources (internal and subcontracted) to execute multiple projects globally. This person would be responsible for creating and establishing project documentation standards and templates. This individual will also build and lead a team of global Project Managers, ensuring project success across the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create and lead projects across the Strategic Service Group.
Create a PMO office for the SSG, hire and mentor team members, as needed, to handle multiple projects
Create project library templates
Develop and create a project central repository, including strategic management reports for the executives, internal and external clients that will include:
Developing detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
Creating a work breakdown structure to include resource requirements
Negotiating resource availability and allocation in a matrixed environment
Working with our contingent workforce division to staff projects as needed
Preparing reports to communicate project progress, challenges and solutions
Tracking milestones, progress, financials
Manage complex customer-facing projects on-time and with high levels of customer satisfaction

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Other job related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time

Remote, US with preference for Pleasanton, CA or Dallas, TX

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE II or equivalent), highly desired
Required Experience

10+ years of selling, positioning, and overseeing multiple ERP Software Projects internationally.
Demonstrated success leading large-scale projects such as : Cloud Migration and ERP Software Implementation
(Database Security Tools, Middleware virtual Patching technology, Mobility Solutions, Analytics Solutions, etc).
10+ years experience managing teams of subcontractors as well as having direct reports.
Expertise in Project Perfect Delivery (In scope, on time and within budget and margin)


Proven leadership skills
Expertise in conflict resolution
Analytical, logical problem resolution skills, with excellent verbal and written ability
Superb trouble-shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving
Passionate focus on customer support and the ability to build long term, successful working relationships with Clients
Expert in status reporting, goal setting, assigning accountability
Preferred Skills

Understanding of IT security concepts and practices such as virtual patching, containerizations, cloud security, encryptions, identity management
Knowledge of ERP Industry Solutions would be an advantage
Knowledge of any Country Specific Solutions would be an advantage
A consulting background, while not mandatory, would be useful
Knowledge of public IaaS cloud technology and security solutions
Solution selling trained and / or certified will be a plus
