As the Digital Marketing Specialist for the Masons of California and its entities, your demonstrated knowledge and skills in the areas of email marketing, web development, and marketing operations will support six nonprofit sites across a range of industries. You know how to build effective emails, optimize landing pages and web content, and have an affinity towards digital strategy. You possess the ability to coordinate content across multiple channels, and have exceptional project management and communication skills.
We are looking for a motivated self-starter with a keen eye for detail, the desire to learn new programs and skills, and a love of data. This role works within a highly creative and collaborative team and will maintain an ongoing awareness of current digital trends and best practices, have a strong understanding of user interface principles, and contribute to our differentiation and growth across digital channels.

What you will be doing:
Website Maintenance (six main websites)
Collaborate with the Communications team to create websites, landing pages and optimize user experience using WordPress, HTML, and CSS.
Maintain and update existing websites with fresh content, design, and images.
Coordinate and support mini-site development for local lodges. Train administrative users in WordPress in a limited fashion to update mini sites.
Ideate strategies and content across sites and channels, including for our award-winning quarterly magazine, California Freemason.
Email Marketing Campaigns
Create and maintain email campaigns for B2C audiences, utilizing email marketing tools, including email automation.
Implement the on-time delivery of lifecycle and promotional email campaigns
Create and edit email templates within our customer engagement platforms
Project manage and coordinate the collection of content for email campaigns that cross departments
Build automation and triggered workflows that will help with the engagement, acquisition, and retention of our audiences
Segment audiences and list management to ensure the right content is delivered to the right audience at the right time
Launch measurable A/B and multivariate testing across email campaigns and continually strive for optimizing email campaigns, automation, and workflows
Monitor and track metrics on email marketing campaigns and deliver reports and insights to stakeholders
Work closely with the communications team to ideate new email campaigns, automation, strategies, and workflows to help drive increased engagement and activity of audience
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
On-Page SEO (keyword research, keyword optimization, content optimization, meta tags)
Off-Page SEO (backlinks, 3rd party verified accounts, online brand accuracy)
Local SEO (Google My Business, citations, accurate name, address, and phone numbers on online listings)
Digital Ads (PPC)
Create online ads (text, display, mobile, video) for new providers and current campaigns on Google Ads and Facebook Ads
Monitor key performance indicators and adjust
Budget ad spend
Requirements
Skills: Fluency in email and web production software; effective and diplomatic verbal and interpersonal communication with diverse stakeholders; excellent writing and proofreading skills, ability to prioritize, manage multiple demands of varying complexity, and meet multiple deadlines; a proven initiative to follow through and complete assignments independently; excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Attitude: Proactive, self-motivated team player willing to do what needs to be done; customer service focus; ability to work as part of a creative, collaborative, entrepreneurial team of communications professionals.
Experience: 3 + years marketing/communications experience in non-profit communications, member/association communications, corporate communications, or a communications-focused agency.
Technical: Demonstrated proficiency in web content management systems, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, e-mail marketing systems, HTML, and database management systems.
