As an experienced Project / Program Director, you are accustomed to leading teams and PMO employees to deliver complex IT and business projects on time and within budget. Using your polished client facing skills, you will personally manage some critical projects that support operational and strategic initiatives. This role will lead efforts to improve our processes, project management systems, and work stream efficiencies across the entire organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a leadership role with a focus in agile methodologies to support and fulfill the strategic objectives of a highly cross-functional global organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively manage and inspire the project management team.
Ensures projects are completed within committed timelines and budget constraints.
Ensures project management policies, standards and procedures are consistently followed within the team.
Drives and ensures project management policies, standards and procedures are consistently followed within the team.
Performs all duties inherent in a managerial role, including recruiting, developing and managing staff.
Proactively allocates resources and maintains and controls expenses.
Continue to define and evangelize the project management function value within our organization.
Successfully implement new processes allowing us to improve management and delivery of all projects.
Manage project managers, providing training and skills development in addition to coaching and mentoring.
Implement key organizational performance metrics including KPI’s, SLA’s, RACI’s etc.
Execute and maintain project management processes in an agile environment.
Develop and maintain project schedules and milestones with the input and assistance of team leads.
Oversee the areas of quality management, communications management, risk/issue management, change management and escalation procedures.
Facilitate team meetings, providing meeting minutes and action items where needed.
Build strong communication channels with stakeholders, various departments, and cross-functional teams.

Required Experience
10-15 years progressive management experience, including large-scale program and project management and personnel management.
Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction, and altering priorities
Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Proficient in Microsoft Project and or Microsoft Project Server
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Proven success in delivering projects within budget and specified timeframes, while ensuring customer satisfaction
Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection
Ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans
