Warehouse Lead - Exception
WeatherTech is seeking a Warehouse Lead to aid our exception department in ensuring all packages are properly labeled and directed while conducting periodic audits to verify products are packed to company quality standards. This is a great opportunity to join our 1st shift - 6:00am-2:30pm and our 2nd shift - 2:00-10:30pm teams!
As a Warehouse Lead, you will

Prioritize assigned department team’s daily work assignments by reviewing and analyzing reports; delegate work assignments to team members based on individual skill level and business demands; monitor email for updated reports; reprioritize work as new reports are generated and reassign team members throughout the shift as needed

Monitor and supervise assigned team ensuring all employees are working safely and efficiently while staying on task

Research and resolve any discrepancies found on reports, BOLs, etc.

Train new and existing team members on company and departmental policies and procedures, including safety protocols; enforce all company policies, procedures, and protocols

Train new and existing team members on different functions of the work area to ensure all are able to perform all tasks properly; share knowledge and best practices to help aid efficiency and productivity

Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of all processes and responsibilities of assigned work area

Fill in as necessary for any Warehouse team members; perform daily work during down time

Participate in daily shift meetings to share any pertinent information or issues between shifts, promoting interaction and communication between all three shifts and related departments

Assist in resolving employee concerns and conflict; inform supervisor of any incidents; counsel employees on performance as necessary; maintain confidentiality and respect privacy and sensitive information in regards to all employee matters

Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures

Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, clean and maintain equipment

Communicate clearly and work as part of a team

Qualified Candidates will

Have experience in a warehouse environment
-
Basic reading, counting, and computer skills
-
Ability to think critically to resolve discrepancies
-
Must be able to read, write, and understand verbal and written work orders/instructions in English

Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with production employees, management, various other departments throughout the company and sometimes outside vendors
-
High degree of attention required to prevent accidents and injuries
-
High degree of attention for shortages, delays, work stoppages, and other issues that lead to downtime or efficiency loss
-
Must be authorized to work in the United States
