NASC On-Site Leader
We are currently seeking an On-Site Leader for our North American Service Center. The On-Site Leader will work with the National North American Service Center (NASC) Leader and tax leadership team to oversee and lead a domestic tax service center (NASC) to enhance the efficiency of the tax compliance process, increase the capacity of local office client-facing tax professionals to become first-choice advisors, gain access to additional tax compliance talent, and enhance RSM’s competitive position.
The On-Site leader will lead RSM efforts to help deliver on the vision and strategic plan for the NASC, recruit for and develop the team, ensure standardized processes are being applied, and facilitate communications and change management regarding the NASC.
In your role as the On-Site Leader, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Provide day-to-day operational oversight of the service center
Work with management and technology teams to develop the NASC processes
Oversee and develop/implement strategies to continuously improve the quality and service while strengthening controls
Direct and oversee workflow within the NASC
Ownership and accountability for creation, achievement, and assessment of performance against performance and financial metrics and objectives
2. Provide day-to-day management and leadership of the service center
Build a high performance, collaborative culture focused on client satisfaction
Help integrate the NASC with the firm by building and fostering relationships within the regions
Manage employment lifecycle: hiring, training, coaching, developing, evaluating, mentoring and, as required, terminating employees
Clearly and consistently communicating with the team and internal customers
Collaborate with offsite teams and leaders nationally
Effectively manage change and grow the service center over time
10+ years of experience with tax matters or within a service center environment
5-7 years of supervisory experience in a service center or a professional services firm
4+ years management experience
Demonstrates strategic thinking
Effectively operates in the firm’s matrix environment
Builds, enhances, and maintains good relationships
Displays active listening skills
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation
Proven project management and problem-solving skills
Serve as an in-house authority for operational processing functions and tax technical issues
