Brambleton Presbyterian Church (BPC) has been worshiping since December 2005 and was officially chartered in October 2011. We are a vibrant and growing faith community located in Loudoun County, Virginia. We are committed to sharing God’s unique offer of grace in Jesus Christ. We are focused on leading people to a saving faith in Christ by offering opportunities to worship, grow, serve and give. Our church is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA).

We currently seek to hire a Finance & Office Administrator to work 8-12 hours per week with an occasional need for the candidate to work additional hours during the year due to quarterly or end of year requirements. The majority of work hours will be at the church office; however, there is flexibility for some work from home. BPC seeks the following characteristics and qualifications:

Funds Management

Office Deposits – Prepare checks and cash received in the office for bank deposits

Record deposits made for Sunday offering including special campaigns and stewardship drives

Order offering and counting supplies for Sunday team as needed

Copy tax-deductible checks received in office for contribution records

Maintain contribution records and track stewardship metrics

Review all bills and requests for payment, accuracy and approval. Pay bills as approved by the Pastor, Finance Team or appropriate ministry leader

Assist with managing lease renewals, and execute payments, and adjustments to billing

Maintain record of bills paid and deposits made using QuickBooks

Maintain vendor files

Order checks or deposit slips as needed

Reconcile bank statements to QuickBooks records

Manage online giving system

Ensure annual PCI compliance

Manage church financial records, required reports or forms for an annual audit / review for the Finance Team, appointed independent reviewer and state or Federal authorities such as the IRS

Manage administration of camps, mission trips and fundraiser tracking


Manage bi-weekly payroll for employees on the 15th and last day of the month

Maintain appropriate withholding tax tables and benefits records in accordance with National Capital Presbytery updates by serving as Brambleton’s liaison to the Board of Pensions

Ensure monthly payroll withholdings are made with Federal, State agencies and Board of Pensions monthly contributions

File 941 forms quarterly

Prepare W2 & W3 forms annually

Prepare 1099s and 1096


Provide a weekly balance sheet and an income/expense statement monthly to Pastor and Finance Team

Maintain accurate records of pledges and contributions to the church, prepare and send statements quarterly

Track and provide status of Faith Portfolios

Provide monthly and annual financial reports as requested by the Pastor or Finance Team

Provide weekly cash flow statement and year to date budget updates


Support Pastor and Finance Team in annual budgeting process

Track budget trend, income & expenses relative to budget

Financial Liaison

Serve as Brambleton’s liaison to the Board of Pensions

Serve as Brambleton’s liaison to Grantors: General Assembly through National Capital Presbytery, Vienna Presbyterian Church & Riverside Presbyterian Church

Renew licenses and memberships

Be available to attend church business meetings (Annual Meeting, monthly Finance Team meeting) as necessary to answer any questions related to church finances

General Staff Responsibilities

Maintain time sheet recording hours worked for church staff

Participate in staff and Session meetings as requested

Assist with managing and ordering general office supplies

Provide general office support and perform other duties in support of the Pastor, ministries or new members and visitors

Serve as space liaison with Legacy Elementary

Oversee management of Child Protection forms
