Job Description
Position: Production Supervisor
Duties:
❏ Ensuring that production processes are in line with company and regulatory requirements,
including GMP applicable guidelines.
❏ Accurately completing all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance.
❏ Informing the production team of preferred occupational health and safety practices.
❏ Communicating expectations to production team members and evaluating their
performance on KPIs including downtime, waste, and defects.
❏ Implementing relevant emergency response procedures during emergencies.
❏ Regularly checking the machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow.
❏ Compiling reports about production and providing management with updates.
❏ Managing the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment promptly.
❏ Implements standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and
effectiveness.
❏ Reviews and supports equipment failure analysis and troubleshooting resolutions.
❏ Manages and maintains a preventive maintenance system to keep all day-to-day operations
running smoothly.
❏ Ensuring all resources and assets are used safely, efficiently, and correctly. Including all
safety guards are in place.
❏ Must coordinate and communicate with departments including quality, warehouse, sales,
and management.
❏ Responsible for labor scheduling and staffing.
❏ Arrive before the shift starts assuring all is ready for the teams to start production at the
beginning of their shift.
Skills & Qualifications:
❏ Strong communication skills to actively listen to stakeholders and clearly verbalize ideas
and action plans.
❏ Excellent organizational skills to plan production and maintenance schedules and ensure
the availability of necessary materials and equipment.
❏ Strong analytical skills to determine problems within the production process, equipment,
and take appropriate action.
❏ Good time-management skills to minimize downtime and ensure a team works efficiently.
❏ The ability to cope with pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
❏ A firm understanding of GMP and health and safety regulations (OHSA).
KPI’s:
The production lines are all set to start at the beginning of the shift.
Continued experience in maintaining the equipment, building, and understanding of production
efficiencies.
Effective production maintenance plan implementation
Ensure coordination with management, warehouse supervisor, maintenance, and line leads.
