We are actively seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Meter Service Technician. This role plays a pivotal part in monitoring and maintaining the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system, responding to customer needs, and contributing to the overall integrity of our water metering systems. Here are some specifics:
Job Summary: Assists with monitoring and maintaining the AMI meter system, responds to customer field needs as generated through work orders and assigned by Meter Section Supervisor and/or Lead. Interacts with customers, responds to questions, and resolves complaints. Participates in wholesale vault inspections along with installing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing retail and wholesale meters. Assists with installing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing all District internal meters located at wells, boosters, etc.
Job Hours/Shifts/Travel: Normal working hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., working four 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. Changes in work schedule or occasional overtime may be required to complete system maintenance or resolve customer service issues.
