The SAS Office of General Counsel located in Richardson, TX is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide a full range of direct administrative support to director level personnel. This position will support and report to the Senior Intellectual Property Counsel and Advanced Concepts and Technology (ACT) Business Attorney present in Richardson and will also support other SAS Office of General Counsel (OGC) director level personnel in North Texas, including the SAS Patent Engineer. The position will initially be based in Richardson and is expected to move to McKinney later this year.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Interface with senior company management Answer telephones, handling copies, filing, mailings, and faxes
Manage calendars to include scheduling meetings and coordinating with internal and external clients and attorneysProvide support to the SAS Patent Engineer in administering multiple SAS Invention Review Committee meetings.Provide backup administrative support to the SAS Vice President of LegalAssist in supporting the process of preparing and delivery of materials for the SAS Ethic Steering Committee Ensure information flow to team members; status action items, ensuring deadlines are metCoordinate domestic/international travel arrangements and complete expense reports; understanding of security processes for international travelCommunications: written correspondence, electronic, phone and in personManage and support various corporate processesInput data into various company systems and applications, e.g., shared network drive, eRooms, etc. Establish detailed knowledge of the SAS Office of General Counsel Leadership Team members, locations, assigned positions; develop and maintain excellent working relationships and communication channels with other executive assistants and other staffGenerate charts, tables, reports, correspondence, and other materials with speed and accuracy; prepare contracts, legal memoranda and similar documents and make revisions to the sameComplete expense reports and obtain approval for payment/reimbursement. Prepare and submit Purchase Order and check requests to supply chain and accounts payable.
Meeting arrangements, including conference room reservations, call set-up, catering service, and related responsibilitiesOther duties as assigned
A minimum of six (6) years’ experience as an executive-level administrative assistant in a corporate environment or equivalent experience in a law firm
High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as e-mail, calendar functions, and external tools (WebTE, Raytheon Travel Online, etc.) and internet research
Experience managing travel arrangements (including changes during ongoing travel), expense statements, files, and standard office equipment
Ability to maintain extremely confidential information
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to manage and prioritize large quantities of information

High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred
