Work within the Collins Aerospace IMS team as an Associate Implementation for the GLOBALink data link service. Support the Implementation Management team with service activations, customer technical support and daily liaison for our broad range of communications and value-added services.
Provide daily technical and business support to the GLOBALink service for the onboarding of new customers or the addition of new products and services to our existing customers. Provide life cycle customer guidance and support for all GLOBALink products including ACARS VHF, VDLM2, and Iridium & Inmarsat satellite communications, and value-added applications. This position provides an entry level opportunity to work with experienced Implementation & Program Managers as well as Engineering subject matter experts, and to grow into a knowledgeable and successful Implementation Manager for key airline accounts.
Maintain an ongoing daily relationship with airline customers serving as serving as liaison, answering technical queries and working with internal subject matter experts to resolve problems for all GLOBALink Products and Services.
Guide and coach the customer in the completion of forms and paperwork for the activation of new services or the activation of new aircraft on existing services.
Prepare, submit and track Customer Service Request and Customer Service Orders using Collins proprietary tools and systems.
Support lead Implementation Managers in the development of technical reports, service reviews and special presentations, which will be delivered to the customer.
Support training workshops for our airline customers on GLOBALink products and services.
Organize and support cross-functional teams in the troubleshooting of problems for airline operational datalink programs and efficiently resolve them to the satisfaction of our customers.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and less than 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
Ability to interact with customers on all levels including technical, flight operations, and business management.
Outstanding written and oral communications skills
Fluent in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Solid analytical skills and attention to detail
Up to three years’ experience working in an airline operations or communications service environment performing customer service and support.
Introductory knowledge of data link communications such as ACARS VHF or satellite communications services.
Introductory knowledge of communications networks and protocols.
Ability to understand database concepts (tables, views, indexes), analyze data and develop reports.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with implementing new and existing services.
