Technical Writer

METCOR/LSI is seeking a Technical Writer to support the development and delivery of technical and procedural training materials. This position is full-time, based in the Washington, DC area, and offers an opportunity for long-term growth within an established organization.

The Technical Writer role includes, but is not limited to:
Support for the development of training materials
Creating style guides
Editing and content review for other team members
Technical support for web-based training
Client end-user support
Support for the design of online training

The Technical Writer role requires:
5+ years of experience in a technical writing position
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to review and correct grammar, punctuation, inconsistencies in style, and spelling errors
Experience training, coaching, or instructing others in-person or virtually
Aptitude for technology
High degree of adaptability and flexibility
Ability to travel up to 10%
A Bachelor's degree (in a related field such as Instructional Design, Education, or English preferred)
