Hughes Design Group has a Test Director opening on the GPS Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) program. The individual will lead a 5-person team working at the GPS SE&I facility in El Segundo, CA, at the nearby Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB), and in the field for actual test events. The test program consists of formally testing next-generation GPS receivers being acquired by the US Government. As Test Director, you will develop test plans and procedures, coordinate all necessary logistics for the test, oversee the testing and data collection on-site, post-process and analyze the test data, and prepare the quick-look and final test reports. The Test Director will continually coordinate all aspects of the test program with the Government.
Responsibilities and Duties
Run the GPS user equipment test program described above.
Lead and train a team of test engineers and analysts.
Travel to various test locations prior to and during tests.
Obtain approval from the Government for all proposed test activities.
Maintain the test program schedule and provide status weekly.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications - candidates must meet all of these requirements:

Current DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance. Please indicate your current clearance on your resume.
Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline. Please indicate on your resume your degree and date of award.
10+ years of test engineer experience.
3+ years of experience as a test lead.
GPS domain knowledge.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Work experience on US DoD acquisitions.
Work experience with US Government processes and standards.
Ability to learn quickly.
