WUSA9 is in search of talented college students looking for enriching paid internship opportunities. Come join WUSA9, the CBS affiliate in the Washington DC market and a division of TEGNA Inc., a Fortune 500 global digital media company, for our 2020 Spring Intern Program.
Digital Internship: Digital interns at WUSA9 will work in the newsroom alongside the digital team, managing the websites, apps, social platforms, live streams and more. Interns will learn how to create and distribute content for multiple platforms to keep up with the changing audience. Duties may include writing stories, editing video, creating graphics and more. Interns will work with others in the newsroom including show producers and reporters to ensure WUSA9 stories reach all platforms. If you get all of your news on your phone, this is the internship for you! Knowledge of AP Style and major social platforms required. Experience with Adobe Photoshop & Premiere is a plus.
Must be pursuing Bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 3.0
Must be well organized, detail oriented, adaptable and flexible
Must possess excellent communication skills
