Serves as an individual contributor, provides subject matter expertise from a technical and project management perspective in support of IT Policy and Standards, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), Epic Security and other compliance activities. Manages complex Information Systems project/products in order to provide automated solutions that meet business needs using the EHR and system applications. Maintains system applications and facilitates updates, new releases and system enhancements related to security build, deployment, and optimization of cross-functional system applications. Responsible for maintaining and supporting IT Security in the areas of audit, IT change management control, management of protected health information, segregation of duties and provisioning & deprovisioning of users. Leads efforts to improve outcomes through education and implementation of research based processes. Communicates project and team status to internal and external audiences including the operations teams, steering committees, executive sponsors and project principles as required. Experience: 3-5 years as a system Analyst or equivalent experience. Combined systems analysis and project management experience with progressively responsible assignments. Experience in healthcare environment.
Education: Bachelors Degree or related work experience.
Training: 3-5 years systems analysis with PI and QI experience, with multiple application certifications.
Certifications: 2-3 EpicCare Certifications OR 1-2 Advanced Security Certifications.
Special Skills: Ability to multitask, excellent verbal and written skills. Configuring and building healthcare IT to drive quality improvement and safety goals.
Proficient experience in Microsoft Excel, Access and project management tools required.
