As the Director of Cyber Security Engineering you will be leading a highly skilled team providing world-class converged security program engineering, security consultation and security technology implementation for ADP's Global Security Organization (GSO). This includes global deployment of technologies such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Intrusion Detection (IDS), Endpoint Detection and Remediation (EDR), NextGen Anti-virus (NGAV), plus Compliance and Vulnerability Management (CVM) both on premises and across cloud providers.
The Director of Cyber Security Engineering will have a deep cross-functional understanding of both logical and physical security supported by practical application. They will be required to interact with the Converged Security Architecture, Business Operations and Project Management, Procurement, Finance, and global IT Teams to develop and enhance our security programs across four mission areas physical security, fraud response, cyber security, and data protection.
Manage, develop, and recruit a team that engineers new GSO security platforms in support of our services including defining goals, metrics, roles, responsibilities, process, and technology.
Manages resource allocation including full time employees, consultants, and funding to directly support security services, supporting M&A security activities, and joint IT projects.
Balance new projects with maintenance of existing systems, maturity of programs, and innovation to achieve objectives and key results (OKR).
Maintain an expert level understanding of depth in defense, vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and changing threat landscape.
Partner with security and non-security teams to identify gaps, areas of improvement, implement technology, and improve processed that create efficiencies and mature security services.
Continually improve security engineering services, operational processes, and partnering to optimize resources and outcomes.
Partner to improve operational efficiency of security services through product integration and automation.
Provide consulting to business and IT with guidance on ADP's security standards, best practices, and how to leverage security services.
Manage, mentor, and provide guidance for team members.
15 years+ experience in or leading security architecture/engineering services including designing and deploying global security solutions.
Proven ability to champion and influence security technology choices, build supporting business cases, track expenses, forecast long term financial implications of decisions, and leverage unconventional and innovative ideas to solve problems.
Solid project/program management experience, including agile project management methodologies.
Strong analytical skills, creative thinking, and cross functional knowledge across multiple security disciplines.
Strong knowledge and/or working experience with one or more cloud providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
Strong knowledge and/or working experience with databases, database management systems, and data warehouse solutions.
Strong knowledge and/or working experience with systems automation in a major scripting language (Perl, Python, PowerShell), automation platforms (Ansible, DeMisto), or cloud capabilities (AWS Lambda).
Familiar with interpreting the log output of a wide selection of network and host device classes (HIDS, NIDS, Firewalls, Proxies, Routers, Switches, WAF's, Servers, Desktop Controls, Endpoint Protection, etc.)
Familiar with Packet-level network traffic patterns with most major TCP/IP application protocols (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, BGP, LDAP, IMAP, SSH, FTP, KRB5, DHCP, CIFS).
Familiar with text and data representation and manipulation (XML, HTML, Regular Expressions, JSON, REST, SQL)
Must possess a high degree of integrity, be trustworthy, and have the ability to lead a globally dispersed team.
Strong collaborator with interpersonal, verbal presentation, and written communication skills to relay security-related concepts to a broad audience of technical understanding.
MS in Information Systems or equivalent working experience.
CISSP, CISM, or GSEC security certification.
Any of the following are a plus: GCIA, CISA, CRISC, PMP, or AWS/Microsoft Cloud certifications.
