eMagin, a leader in OLED microdisplays and virtual imaging technologies has exciting opportunities for a Software-Firmware Engineer in the East Fishkill, NY manufacturing facility. eMagin integrates high-resolution OLED microdisplays, magnifying optics, and systems technologies to create a virtual image that appears comparable to that of a computer monitor or a large-screen television.

Overview

The Software engineer will work with the Product Development and Operations groups to develop, release and maintain software applications for the company's product design reference kits, and product test and characterization

Responsibilities

  • Deploy new parametric test software/firmware to all company products,
  • Consolidate parametric test product databases into common format,
  • Transfer/Convert MS Access databases to SQL, including query scripts,
  • Maintain design reference kit software and firmware applications,
  • Develop scripts to support product test and characterization during prototype development and qualification.

Skills/Qualifications

  • BS Computer Sciences
  • 2-5 years related experience with electronic systems product development (semiconductor industry preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio VB.net (Win XP/ Win7 / Win10)
  • Working knowledge of C for embedded application
  • Experience with Raspberry Pi, Microchip PIC is a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Access and database structure
  • Working knowledge of software validation techniques and troubleshooting
  • Experience with user application development and troubleshooting
