LEHI CITY POSITION OPENING
Front Desk Shift Manager

PAY RANGE: $10.50
STATUS: Part-time, Non-benefited
DEPARTMENT: Recreation/Legacy Center
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs all Front Desk Shift Manager responsibilities as follows:
Work under the general supervision of the Front Desk Head Manager and the Assistant Recreation Director.
Oversee all desk operations and supervise desk staff during scheduled shifts.
Assist guests where possible with their health and fitness concerns, as well as recreational needs.
Direct and delegate tasks as needed to front desk staff.
Assist Building Managers in facility operations if applicable during shift.
Money handling and shift till reconciliation, hourly building inspections, handling guest concerns/complaints.
Light cleaning and maintenance.
Closing building depending on shift.
2 weekend shifts a month are required.
Oversee one desk task assigned to all managers.
Attendance at a bi-weekly staff meeting is required.
Pass a background check and a drug test.
Available to work Halloween Extravaganza and Health Fair.
Reliability is an essential part of this position.
Some knowledge of the principles and objectives of municipal recreation center facility operations, maintenance, programs, classes, and activities; the rules and regulations of facility, program, and aquatic activities for adult, youth, senior citizen activities and interests; effective public relations, cashiering techniques and procedures and city and department policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have good public relations skills, must be at least 18 years old, High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work with people in a fast pace environment. Ability to use computers to meet member needs, friendly and courteous attitude. Some knowledge of all Cardio and Weight room equipment. Have knowledge of all Legacy Center programs and events. Must be CPR/First Aid Certified (can be done at work).
