Technology and Strategy Manager

The Technology and Strategy Manager will be part of the IT Strategy function. This role will engage and support the Business Innovation and Strategy function, as well as the Technology Transformational initiatives aimed at further aligning IT’s operations, culture, and processes to that of the business’ strategy and external developments in both the information technology and finance technology (fintech) industries.


Provide technical expertise concerning new and emerging technologies and their application to IT and business strategic priorities
Search out internal SMEs and external thought-leaders in technology and innovation; Facilitate business and IT discussions aimed toward discovering and evaluating future opportunities
Help to establish a Research and Development / Innovation Hub within IT
Steer various PoC and IT experiments
Lead and/or contribute to 1:M projects resulting from Technology Transformation Study
Conduct proactive ongoing and periodic scans of new technology candidates. This involves an awareness of significant trends in consumer technologies, an understanding of the directions of major vendors, and familiarity with the sources of trends, e.g. research analyst companies, blogs, Web resources
Document the results of investigations and technology scans, including recommendations for how key technologies may apply to the business
Interact formally (for example, through presentations and training) and informally (networking) with other groups within the business and IT to help them understand the results of technology investigations. This frequently involves translating the technology benefits into business terms
Provide Strategy department’s inputs to IT’s Balanced Scorecard report-out to CIO

5+ years of varied technology experience in at least 2 of the listed examples (Digital Strategy, IT Value Strategy, Technology Innovation and Ecosystems, IT Operating Model, Enterprise Architecture Strategy)
Strong technology orientation, curiosity, good communication skills, comfort with risk and ambiguity
Broad understanding of technology and applicability in solving business problems
Experience in managing diverse, executive stakeholder relationships
Capable in organizing and following up from technology showcase events
Degree level educated (bachelor’s required/master’s preferred)
Experience managing third party vendors
Available to travel for business purposes

Financial services industry experience
Previous experience in innovation and/or strategy development/execution roles

Ability to communicate in the following laguages:
Spanish or Portuguese
