We're seeking a Data Governance Manager to spearhead our nascent data governance program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and enhancing a successful organizational data governance program, establishing trusted enterprise-level data assets, and facilitating their consumption for informed decisions and actions. This role is pivotal in ensuring Amica’s data assets comply with all regulations and in providing leadership to a high-performing team.
A starting annual salary between $127,000 - $175,000 based on level of previous experience. In addition, hired applicants will be eligible for the company’s annual variable incentive paid based on company performance. Additional commission opportunities may apply to customer facing sales and service representatives.
This position can be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an enterprise leader for data governance, educating, influencing, and driving strategies across multiple organizational levels.
- Lead the development, maintenance, and refinement of data governance-related roadmaps, both functional and strategic.
- Design, develop, and manage the data steward, owner, and custodian model for the organization
- Drive prioritization, success criteria, Key Performance Indicators, and use cases for the Data Governance program.
- Partner with the business to create and maintain a Data Catalog and future data governance solutions.
- Develop data literacy training and a change management approach to enhance adoption and business impact.
- Provide thought-leadership and strategic thinking, encouraging broad-based critical thinking and analysis across the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in data analytics, governance, or related fields.
- Strong relationship-building skills with excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on critical thinking.
- Experience in developing data governance programs and partnering with business units to enhance data utilization.
- Background in developing and implementing change management and data literacy strategies.
- Skilled in attracting, retaining, and leading high-performing talent.
- Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required.
