Part-Time Instructor and Environmental Lab Manager

The Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering is accepting applications for a temporary lab manager and adjunct lecturer for the Spring 2019 session from January 9, 2019 – May 13, 2019. This position would be funded on a semester-by-semester basis to teach and maintain the one of the laboratories in the department.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a biological, chemical or environmental laboratory and familiar with water, soil and chemical analyses including using of the equipment, handling of samples, health and safety in a biological and chemical laboratory. This person would maintain and coordinate use of the lab and serve as the instructor for the environmental engineering laboratory course for the Spring 2019 semester.

CIEN 311 – This course provides selected experiments on the measurement of environmental pollutants.

The Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering provides academic preparation for students studying for BS degrees in Architectural Engineering, BS degrees in Civil Engineering, and MS degrees in Civil Engineering with specializations in Structures, Energy, Environmental, Transportation, Construction, Building Systems, and other Civil or Architectural Engineering areas.

Minimum Requirements
Candidates must have a Master’s degree or PhD in Civil Engineering, Science or related Environmental field.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Candidates with previous experience teaching in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
