The Columbia University College of Dental Medicine Section of Growth and Development, Section of Orthodontics is seeking an Associate Research Scientist for an immediate opening. The successful Associate Research Scientist (ARS) will work with faculty members, senior researchers, and students on various Orthodontic research projects. Specifically, he successful candidate will be responsible for biological assays, radiographic analysis and in assisting on research subject recruitment.
The ARS will provide curriculum assistance and develop didactic research courses, specifically around the topics of Cephalometric Tracing. The ARS will develop laboratory courses on topics such as wire bending.
The ARS will coordinate research efforts, provide guidance and mentor orthodontic residents on master-level research projects. Assist residents in the development of research projects for peer reviewed Orthodontic journals.
The ARS will also develop an independent research portfolio and secure extra mural funding.

Minimum Degree Required:
All applicants MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered for the position.
Candidates must have a doctorate degree in related field or DDS, DMD degree. Successful candidates must also show ability to develop an independent research portfolio.
Additionally, the successful candidate must have effective oral and written communication skills; and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
