Job Description:
The Professional Training Assistant, under the general direction of the Director of Professional Training, is the primary go-to person for all areas of professional training in the Clinical PhD and PsyD Programs. This positions interfaces directly with students, core and adjunct faculty, and clinical supervisors from approximately 60 community agencies that provide practicum and internship training to CSPP students.

This is not an exhaustive task list but a list which provides the candidate with an idea of job expectations.

APA Internship Application/Placement Process - meet with students to go over their training experiences while at CSPP, collect required documents, complete AAPI (APA application form) for each student including verification of hours, eligibility and readiness to apply & detailed narrative, track matches, collect contact information for each site supervisor, send contracts & evaluations.

Practicum Placement Process - collect materials from students, compile and mail letters of eligibility, record accepted offers, send contracts & evaluations to practicum and internship training sites.
Student/Agency Evaluations & Contracts- prepare, distribute and collect contracts and evaluations, enter data, distribute to faculty liaisons, record grades, ensure copying, distribution to students & Program Offices, file original forms.

Professional Training Committee meetings - preparation and distribution of agendas & materials, take minutes, distribute to members after meeting.
Process new agency requests - provide materials to interested agencies and send completed packets to faculty liaison, update listing when new agencies are approved, upload information forms to myAlliant portal.
Agency Fair - organize experience in which approximately 50+ agencies and 200 students interested in training sites can make choices consistent with their professional goals - order furniture, IT & catering, inform agencies and students, coordinate temporary workers, prepare documents, organize CE that follows the fair.


BA Degree or equivalent

2 years of experience as an administrative assistant

Essential Job Functions:
Proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook
Proficiency in Email systems and other correspondence
Type at least 70 WPM
The ability to function efficiently in a busy environment
The ability to be personable and professional in working with agency supervisors and administrators, students, staff, and faculty.

Management Skills:Supervisor Responsibilities:
Supervise a student assistant
