General Summary:
Under direction of the Partners Enterprise Pathology (ePath) Manager and general direction of senior team members, the Analyst's duties will focus on the support of deployment of the enterprise Sunquest Lab system, including Blood Bank and Microbiology modules, and other ePath-related enterprise systems and projects. The Analyst will primarily be involved in projects, analysis, testing, and operational support activities. Other duties may include quality assurance, data validation, training, and other initiatives and projects related to ePath domain and systems, including those related to Partners eCare/Epic. Dependent on the Analyst’s skills, duties may also include maintenance/”build” activities within ePath systems. Duties may also include on-site support of new sites deploying ePath systems.

Principles and Duties:
The Analyst will participate in ePath deployment, development, and support activities, including any of the following:

Contributing directly to patient care by participation in the full range of ePath work, including new site deployment,
projects, enhancements, upgrades, system maintenance, and support
Application and interface testing and quality assurance, with creation and execution of robust test plans
Clinical data normalization/mapping, integration and validation activities
Participating in matrixed project teams across functional areas, led by ePath or other teams
Leading ePath work efforts as assigned, with appropriate guidance from senior team members
Providing On-call support of ePath systems and processes, both on and off hours as scheduled
Providing user training and system implementation support at multiple Partners entities, both on and off hours as scheduled
Contributing to the development of requirements, specifications and solutions design
Developing system, team, and user documentation
Communicating work status to senior management and other team members
Providing mentoring and training to team members and/or site staff in appropriate areas of expertise
Providing quality customer service as an exemplary representative of ePath and Partners Information Systems
Other activities as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in clinical or related field
3+ years of experience in clinical or healthcare IS setting
Will also consider degree in non-related field, with appropriate experience in a clinical or healthcare IS setting

Experience with vendor clinical systems (Sunquest LIS, Epic, CoPath, Telcor, etc.) required, with Sunquest LIS strongly preferred
Effective and demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills required, with high level of attention to detail
Required to be self-motivated, able to learn quickly and to be flexible in a multi-site/multi-system environment
Strong PC skills required, including knowledge of MS Office suite software
Experience with project teams required, with experience in a lead role preferred
With appropriate guidance, able to prioritize and simultaneously work on multiple tasks and projects within timelines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with individuals from all levels of the organization and to promote positive team environment
Knowledge of clinical concepts, common clinical terms, clinical procedures and workflow strongly preferred
Knowledge of clinical messaging and coding schemes helpful (ICD9, CPT, HL7, LOINC, SNOMED, etc.)

Working Conditions:
Office environment with local travel to other Partners sites; may include limited exposure to clinical areas
Off-site pager coverage for support as assigned; may include regular 24/7 on-call rotation for the team
Must be able to provide adequate transportation to and between work locations
As projects and priorities dictate, must be available to work non-standard business hours such as evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
