Construction Project Engineer
Valley Rain Construction Corporation, a heavy civil contractor, offers a wide range of horizontal construction services and has self-performing crews in the trades of demolition, earthwork, underground, concrete and landscaping. Valley Rain focuses on Alternative Procurement Park projects. Our Tempe location has an immediate opening for a Construction Project Engineer. Responsibilities:
· Submittal preparation, submittal, tracking, distribution, approval
· Critical Path Method scheduling, updating and reporting
· Schedule coordination with Project Managers, Superintendents and Subcontractors
· Preparation and Tracking of Project Budgets
· Preparation and Tracking of Changes and Change Orders
· Preparation and Processing of Pay Estimates, Prime and Subcontractor
· Research and Provision of Solutions to issues in construction
· Plan and Specification Management
· Coordination and Assistance to Project Estimators for Cost Estimates
· Assistance to Project Managers for duties assigned to the Project Manager, as assigned
· Project Management of Small Jobs with growth to larger jobs as experience grows
· Technical Assistance to Field Superintendents and Crews
· Preparation and Distribution of Weekly Meeting Minutes and other Project Documents such as ASI’s and RFI’s.
· PROCORE project Updates
· Clean Driving Record Required
· Learn and operate all software platforms: Provide technical support to others
· Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with job logistics and General Conditions items
Experience: Construction industry: 1-3 years preferred
Education: College Degree (Required to advance to Project Manager)
1-3 years in commercial general construction experience or equivalent
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proven track record of team building and partnering
Strong computer and software competency
Ability to work in team and individual settings
Hard working and willingness to learn

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
