Enterprise Engineering, Inc. currently has an opening for a Mechanical Integrity Specialist in our Falmouth, Maine, Anchorage, Alaska or Honolulu Hawaii office. The role of a mechanical integrity specialist is to assist in mechanical inspections, support metallurgical and material science requirements and perform QA/QC of welding services to ensure the continued performance and integrity of client equipment and facilities. The focus of this position is on fuel storage and transport systems. This job includes working with other inspectors, engineers, maintenance and repair contractors and management personnel.

Job Functions

  • Perform storage tank, piping and pressure vessel inspections,
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control of welded repairs including evaluation and interpretation of inspection results,
  • Read blueprints and drawings, especially welding details and P&ID diagrams,
  • Document and communicate inspection findings.


  • US Citizen with ability to obtain a military security clearance
  • Drivers license required
  • 2+ years technical degree preferred
  • API 653, 570, 510 and/or AWS CWI certifications preferred
  • NDE training and experience with focus in Ultrasound (thickness measurement), Magnetic Particle, and MFL techniques
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office suite of products
  • Experience with CAD
  • Experience with QA/QC, either in-house or as a 3rd party
  • Experience working as a team member with a focus on leadership a plus
  • Experience with domestic and international travel
  • The ability to work in confined spaces, elevated locations and harsh weather conditions
  • Travel for up to 4 weeks at a time, on an as need basis
