Job Description - Summary:
The Copywriter will work closely with the Creative Director, Art Director, Production Manager and Account Managers while developing messaging and managing copy for a variety of large-scale and tactical projects. These projects include product brochures, case studies, ads, spec sheets, tip sheets, tradeshow graphics, direct mailers, landing pages, ad campaigns (online and print) and other marketing initiatives. In addition to creating new materials, the Copywriter will be responsible for editing and proofing all drafts. The Copywriter will also be expected to actively contribute to concept development and final deliverables.

Top Required Skills:

  • Solid ability in effective communication with various levels of management
  • Full understanding of publishing styles, grammar and spelling
  • Solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
  • Solid understanding of strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
  • Overall computer literacy and typing speed
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, Adobe Acrobat and web navigation

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Experience in the B-to-B medical technology, biology, genetics, pharma or healthcare industry

Soft Skills:

  • Must have a strong passion for writing, ability to manage multiple projects at once and willingness to learn product details and benefits.
  • Exceptional ability in writing, editing and proofreading with attention to detail
  • Understands graphic design with a keen appreciation of the interplay between textual and visual elements
  • Ability in handling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously


  • Bachelor’s degree (with a major in English, Journalism, Advertising, Communications or a related field)


  • Collaborate with the Account Management and Creative Services teams to determine the conceptual and copy direction of advertising and marketing initiatives
  • Interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics
  • Work from creative briefs and project tasks under the Creative Director to translate concepts into effective, compelling copy concepts and verbiage
