Job Description

Our specialists in perinatal/early childhood mental health at NYU Langone Medical Center are partnering with Bright Horizons to facilitate healthy social and emotional development for infants, young children, and their families. We are currently hiring an Infant Teacher to work with children between the ages of 6 weeks and 18 months at our state of the art facility off of 1 Park Ave.

Bright Horizons educators will have unique opportunities for advanced professional training in a number of areas including:

  • Understanding when to wonder versus when to worry about a child's expression of stress, social-emotional communication, and/or behavior
  • Learning strategies to facilitate healthy development
and to deal with behavioral difficulties in the classroom

  • Learning effective ways to collaborate with parents and interdisciplinary professionals in the child's support network

Job Requirements

Who we are looking for

Hold a Bachelor degree in Education or an Associate degree in Education plus two years working with children.

Meet state educational licensing and additional center/school requirements

A passion for child care and making a difference in the lives of young children

We do give preference to child care teachers with the following:

Related college-level or CDA course work

A CDA or working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree

12 months of professional teaching experience
