Uptown Eyes is a beautiful, established eye clinic and eyewear gallery in Fayetteville, AR. We are focused on luxury, independent, and curated eyewear and customer service with the patient experience being of utmost importance.
At Uptown Eyes, you will be a part of an enthusiastic team that is here to support each other and to excel in providing an exceptional and unique patient experience. As part of the Optical team, you will help patients and clients select eyewear in a fun and personalized manner.
Optical and/or retail experience is desired but not required. Initial pay is based primarily on experience. We offer a fun, team-oriented teaching environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Optical sales
- Get to know patient in order to learn needs/wants for eyewear
- Assist shoppers in styling eyewear
- Prescription interpretation and education
- Patient Lens Education and pricing
- Authorize vision insurance plans for glasses, when applicable
- Optical Ordering and filing of respective vision plans for glasses
- Check-in verification of glasses with manual lensometer and notify patients for pick up
- Keep up with new technology and continuing education
- Eyewear Adjustments & Repairs
- Arrange eyewear displays; visual merchandising
- Cleaning optical shelves and frames, keeping displays aesthetically pleasing
- Assist team members as needed
