Connor Design-Build is currently seeking a residential carpenter's apprentice with demonstrated work ethic and experience. A Qualified Candidate Must Have:
- building trades education/program training or on-job residential construction/carpentry experience (1 years)
- a valid driver's license and means of transportation
- the ability to think critically and problem solve
- an eye for detail
- a desire for continuing education/training
- the ability to work with discerning clients
- the ability to work with a lead carpenter and take direction
- the ability to work independently once given instruction
- carpentry tools (list provided)
Work will range from residential site prep and framing through fine finishing of both small and large scale residential and light commercial construction/remodeling projects. Experience with and interest in fine building materials and best construction practices is preferred. Official residential building trades education desirable. Related residential construction site/carpentry experience required.
Benefits package includes holiday and vacation time. Hourly wage is dependent upon experience but average range falls between $20 and $25 per hour to start, dependent upon experience and ability to perform. 401(k) with company match after 1 year of employment. Work schedule normally falls Monday through Friday between 7 a.m.-5 p.m. and is dependent upon project load. Basic tools required (list will be provided).
