JOB SUMMARY
The Equipment Controller will be responsible for assisting the Yard Supervisor in controlling all JZI – RoadOne equipment inventories and maintenance in Jacksonville, FL.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist Management in the day-to-day local, regional , over-the-road and RoadOne warehouse and yard Operation
· Maintain high level communications with JZI / RoadOne Office and its Employees
· Maintain high level communications with all Employees within the JZ Companies.
· Oversee drivers ensuring they are following company processes, procedures, and policies.
Operational
· Ensure that all Company Owned and Leased equipment are maintained and are roadworthy to meet all DOT standards and requirements.
· Assist with Monthly M&R record keeping requirements
· Assist with SKIP inspections when necessary.
· Ensure that all Company Owned and Leased equipment are maintained and are roadworthy to meet all DOT standards and requirements.
· Ensure all Company Owned and Leased equipment repairs are completed in the most cost-effective way possible.
· Responsible for completing yard checks at all JZI – RoadOne yards in Jacksonville, Fl
· Responsible for reviewing and updating all yard checks – inventories in JZI – RoadOne systems.
· Responsible for passing on the yard check information to all participants daily
· Work hours are Monday thru Friday 07:30 to 16:30
· Working within Rail Yards (FEC, CSX and NS)
· Enforce all Driver Safety Programs
· Updating TVI Systems as mandated by RoadOne.

Skills, Abilities & Competencies:
· Effective oral and written communication in person, on the phone and via electronic communications
· Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills
· Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple, competing projects and tasks
· Strong problem-solving skills and an excellent self-motivated work ethic are critical.
· Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
· Maintaining an entrepreneurial attitude with a strong desire to grow professionally is key.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree is preferred, high school diploma is required.
· Three to five years’ experience in dispatch and/or fleet management is strongly preferred; some prior experience is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Employees must be able to sit for extended periods of time which working with a computer and be able to communicate verbally over the phone and in person with drivers, co-workers and customers. Employees must be able to inspect inside and outside JZI trucking equipment.
All potential new employees must pass a drug screen and background check.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
