The Registered Nurse (RN) in our Psychiatric Evaluation Services (PES) provides specialized care to acutely psychiatric patients, including those with substance use disorders, bipolar disorder, major depression, schizophrenia, those presenting with acute suicidal ideation (SI), and other psychiatric diagnoses. The RN is responsible for crisis intervention, patient stabilization, and comprehensive assessments in a 10-bay facility. Patients may be voluntary or involuntary, and the RN facilitates admissions, transfers, and ongoing treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The RN ensures patient safety, administers medications, and supports therapeutic interventions in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
Who Should Apply:
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
- BLS CPR certification required
- RN work experience required
Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire
