What you’ll be doing...

The Project Manager of Network and Service Transformation Strategy will be responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of strategies and programs targeted to improve the customer experience and simplify Verizon’s wireline service delivery by migrating service from legacy (largely copper-based) networks to more robust and efficient fiber networks or other alternatives.

Manage the cutover of existing voice customers to next generation platforms.
Lead cross-functional project teams to prepare, test and schedule voice switch cutovers.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert on voice switch cutovers.
Track the steps leading to a voice switch cutover and report on them.
Identifying and resolving project roadblocks in a timely manner.
What we’re looking for...

You are experienced with central office voice switching equipment and circuits. You enjoy project management activities, including interfacing with various stakeholders and project team members to balance competing priorities and identifying and removing roadblocks to drive successful cutovers.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience with voice switches, T1 test and turn up, IOF, DLC and OLTs.

Even better if you have:
A degree.
PMP certification.
Voice Tier 2 experience.
IDLC technical experience, specifically Tellabs T1000s.
Ribbon G5/G6/CS2K/C20 experience.
Experience with CO LET process.
Technical knowledge of copper circuit requirements for voice and data product’s on the copper network.
Ability to interface with Tier 2, OCO and any other End to End testing groups.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Strong strategic planning and execution skills, along with demonstrated results as a change agent.
