GWC Injury Lawyers is seeking a Spanish Speaking Experienced Legal Assistant to join the firm. The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 2 years of current work experience and must be extremely organized, ability to manage deadlines and meet the needs of clients and court deadlines.
Knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation process, court rules, Comp-Filing and procedures is required.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Assisting attorneys with various case matters such as day to day requirements, sending and requesting work status notes, taking calls from clients, working with Adjuster/Insurance carrier requesting medical records and bills related to Workers’ Compensation claims.
Determining case status and creating Bill Review reports itemizing outstanding balances due.
Reviewing files to identify all medical providers for each case.
Requesting itemized and certified bills which may require persistent follow up.
Determining if bills are related to the claim.
Preparing pleadings, scheduling depositions, requesting narrative reports.
Preparing for pre-trials and trials and communicating effectively with clients among other duties.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Spanish Speaking extremely helpful
Excellent communication and Organization skills
Ability to think critically and analyze information and function at a high level in fast-paced environment
Most importantly have a positive and proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
